A plus size girl in a mini skirt |
|
One of the best things about today's women's fashion is that because of certain items a short skirt is now not inaccessible to me. I am only 18 years old and I was born with the "voluptuous" gene. I am naturally fuller figured and I have to buy my clothes from plus sized labels. That's cool with me because fashion right now is offering plus size girls like me loads of options. Lets take the good old denim mini... stretch denim...tick really short um maybe too short for someone like me who wears a plus size 18? Well once that was true but with a little flair and a pair of leggings I am able to wear a mini denim skirt and not feel like people are wondering if I looked in the mirror before I left the house. Heres the thing...Leggings are the most transforming fashion item in a big girls wardrobe. Dresses can make a plus size figure look a little out of date, but if you choose a dress that has a wrap style and wear a pair of legging with the daggy dress is transformed into a cool latest fashion look and its comfortable to wear. And dare I say it? Bigger girls have been wearing short leggings as under their garments forever for comfort and now all we have to do is wear them at calf or ankle length and we are wearing the latest fashion. Another little advances for plus size girls like me is a pair of boots. I have often wished hopelessly that I could find a pair if knee length boots to wear over a pair of jeans or with a skirt. It seemed that you could only get boots that fit a skinny calf. The fact is even regular sizes friends of mine were this a common problem, so what hope does a plus size fashion victim like me have/ Despair no more! A lot of manufacturers now are making a range of boots that have aider leg size...nothing is out of my reach anymore...the world is catching up to plus size fashion at last> |
