I am a "Big Girl"...and I have just discovered the internet offers me something I have never had before...a fashion world that gives me choices in my size. Choices in the latest fashions, even looks that traditional stores don't carry in my size and all at really affordable prices. I have always hated having to traipse all the Shopping Mall floors, knowing that I will only end up in the 1 or 2 stores that actually carry anything in my size...and by the time I get there I am exhausted and totally depressed because what I really wanted only exists in the stores that are too cool to carry anything over a size 14. I am young...I am cool...I love fashion...I am a size 18. The internet lets me shop with confidence and no stress or frustration. Actually its really relaxing. Once I am online with the fashion website of choice, everything...absolutely everything comes in my size! I am spoilt for choice and instead of settling for what limited choices the stores have always offered me, I get to experience that dilemma of "Oh hell! Which one will I buy?" The really cool thing about shopping on line, is that all the usual "big Girl" issues aren't issues anymore. When you choose a website that specializes in plus size fashion, what you are really doing is shopping at a place where they "get it" These people get that when you are a big girl some fabrics, colours and styles are better than others and some are best left alone! They know me! They know what I want. Because there are so few plus size stores selling the latest fashion, it wasn't unusual to go to a party or a club and see the outfit that I am wearing on another girl...Since I have found the net this doesn't happen. I know its great to come home with all your shopping and be able to wear what you bought straight away, but it wasn't always that much fun for me because more often than not I had to settle for whatever I could get in my size and not what I really wanted. Now I experience a whole new kind of excitement.I love that sense of anticipation waiting for my fashion purchase to arrive, and I love it! I can shop any time I want...before work...after work...even in the middle of the nite. Why did it take me so long to discover this world of choice and convenience not to mention value??? Give the internet a whirl all you big girls out there...life will never be the same again! |
