It's a common thought that all woman regardless of age, wish that they were thin. Well, I am here to tell you this isn't the case for me and it certainly isn't the way of thinking of hundreds of woman. Society today tells us that all curvy women, plus size women who wear larger sizes in fashion wish they were a size 8 and live their lives striving to become just that. But that simply is a broad generalization and in fact, lots if not most plus size women enjoy and love their bodies just the way they are. For some time though it was very difficult for women to find larger sizes in clothes that fit them which is predominately why the theory that we all wanted to be thin started in the first place. The truth of it is though that the plus size woman just wants to enjoy fashion like every woman does. Yes, finding larger sizes can sometimes be a chore but I am not going to despair just because the fashion industry is a little slow to understand that Plus size women are a big percentage of fashion shoppers out there. I like my curves. I embrace my fuller, plus size figure and am sure not depressed about it or live my life thinking that I need to loose weight. Not all larger women are obsessed with their weight or wish to be smaller. I do however love fashion and I will search high and low to wear the latest trends.Shopping for clothes in my size is getting easier every day. I am a size 18-20 and I love my body. I eat well and exercise regularly but I also do not deprive my self of any treats once in a while. My doctor says I am healthy and fit so it just isn't an issue for me, socially or medically. I just find it so crazy that everyone else seems to have a problem with it. |
