There has long been the debate that plus size women find it difficult to find fashion, however that is no longer the case. With more and more designers manufacturing clothes in larger sizes, plus size women's clothing is available in many stores, specific stores just selling larger sizes and the phenomenon of online shopping is a candy store for the plus size woman. The problem the fuller figure woman now faces though is the types of styles available to her. While many of us may want to cover up certain parts of our body like our shop arms or ankles, the plus size woman embraces her curves and considers her body as her temple and wants to show it off. And why shouldn't she? The larger woman has come to terms with her body and body shape more so than slender women who have little to no problems finding fashionable clothing. Designers however are starting to realize that they no longer have to limit their designs for the plus size to dull and dark colours. The plus size woman loves the bright colours and fantastic patterns. She enjoys showing off her arms and wears sleeveless and halter neck tops. Mini skirts are not an obstacle for the fuller figured lady either. And with trends now incorporating flowing, dreamy dresses, these trends are a winner for the larger lady. The larger sizes have become in such demand that the styles have needed to move with the times. Plus size women love fashion and want to be included in current trends. They are no longer hiding in the corner afraid to get involved. The plus size woman is proud and no longer seeks approval from others and fashion designers have a lot to do with that. By designing wonderful fashions in the larger sizes, women now feel like they can look great too and feel confident about socializing and joining in with their stylish, fashionable friends. Well done fashion houses; not only are you designing great clothes for the plus size women, you are also helping to change the mind set of society.
