Tips for choosing plus size swimwear |
|
Buying swimwear is a daunting enough task, but when you are plus size women with a fuller figure it simply gets even more frightening. Choosing a swim suit doesn't need to be difficult - regardless of your size and shape. Here are a few quick tips that may help you to choose the right plus size swim suit for your body type and look and feel great about wearing it.
1. Big Belly - to hide the signs of a big belly, a swimsuit with vertical stripes can help. Any type of gathering around the stomach area will also hide any bulge. 2. Small Top/Big Bottom - If your bottom area is bigger than your top like a triangle, try a swimsuit with wide shoulder straps as well as one that has a small skirt that wraps at the front 3. Small Bust - if you have a small bust and want to enhance the little that you do have, choose a halter or bikini top. Make sure it has underwire for added lift and always go for lighter colours. Strapless swimsuits will only give the appearance of a flatter chest so these should be avoided at all costs. 4. Big Bust - the key here is to choose a swimsuit that gives you support. Choose a swimsuit that has wide straps as this will also assist in giving you some added lift 5. Broad shoulders - a swimsuit that has a pattern on the lower part of it will attract the eye there and give the appearance of wider hips. 4. Long upper - if your upper body is quite long, a swimsuit with a tank top (tankini), that shows a little of your stomach will shorten the appearance in the length of your torso 5. Short legs - to make short legs appear longer in a swimsuit, choose a swimsuit that is high cut to the thigh. Plus size swimwear is now readily available and the larger sizes make it easier to feel and look fantastic all summer.
